The Graz University Library was founded in 1573 and is now a service facility of the Karl-Franzens University of Graz. It is the largest library in Styria with 4 million print media, 800,000 e-books, 61,000 e-journals, 310 databases, 12 locations and 120 employees.

The event center was built in 1872 and is harmoniously integrated into a park landscape. It is located directly on the banks of the Mur in Graz. The red brick of the old factory forms a unique backdrop with an event area of around 1,900 m2. The garden, which was converted in 2019, is available as additional event space. The
three different rooms on the first floor – the “Fachwerkhalle”, “Markthalle” and “Extraktionshalle mit dem Heizhaus” – offer the ideal setting for a wide variety of events, into which the extensive green spaces around the building can also be integrated very well.
