Nicholas Katz ist Data Scientist und Projektmanager am Institut POLICIES der JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH. Er studierte „Data and Information Science“ an der FH Joanneum sowie empirische Ökonomik an der Karl-Franzens-Universität in Graz und der University of Wollongong (Australien). Seit 2014 ist er am Institut POLICIES tätig. Zu seinen Aufgabengebieten zählen u.a. die Konzipierung und Durchführung quantitativer Analysen (Ökonometrie und Machine Learning), die Bearbeitung von Fragestellungen zum Thema Arbeitsmarkt, regionale Entwicklung und dem strukturellen Wandel sowie das Datenmanagement.

He studied “Data and Information Science” at the FH Joanneum and empirical economics at the Karl-Franzens-University in Graz and the University of Wollongong (Australia).
He has been working at the POLICIES Institute since 2014.
His areas of responsibility include the design and implementation of quantitative analyses (econometrics and machine learning), working on issues relating to the labor market, regional development and structural change as well as data management.
